Loch Maree, Highland council. Three miles walk in the mountains, hugging the trees, smelling the pines and listening to the birds singing. Nature is all around you there, so you must take some time to enjoy this magical place. That was just fabulous.
In the heart of Wester Ross, with a cluster of mountain peaks, ancient pinewoods, secretive crossbills and soaring golden eagles, it’s no wonder that Beinn Eighe was chosen as Britain’s first National Nature Reserve.
Facilities include a visitor centre, trails for all abilities, parking and cycle rack, picnic site, viewpoint, interpretive panels, basic camp site, woodland trails and steep mountain trails for the more adventurous.
